EUV’s in our Environment

What is an EUV? EUV is our abbreviation for Electric Utility Vehicle much like you would see the UTV or ATV abbreviation associated with competing gas or diesel powered vehicles.

All over the world we are currently going down a sustainable path of repair to our Earth and the immediate surroundings in our every day lives. What we are collectively learning as we go is that as we discover various ways to “Go Green” we also are finding added values within those actions! It is sort of the “added bonus” that just happens. In our realm of the “Green Effort” we have learned that simple inherent results from using small electric work vehicles are revealing positive attitudes and a more pleasing work atmosphere resulting in better working conditions. For example, traditionally commercial employees use loud and smelly ICEV’s, (internal combustion engine vehicles) for small or simple tasks throughout the day. When our EUV’s are introduced it not only has the power to get the job done but it also alerts the senses to something new that has never been considered before. Now those employees can actually speak to each other while they are driving the vehicle without having to strain their voice to get the verbal message across. The absence of the constant noise of the motor intermittently over the course of a day has subconsciously reduced a level of stress or irritation that is normally always there. After only a few weeks or even days what happens is that the perception of the work being done no longer has a reduced tone of negativity to doing it resulting in a more positive feeling about the task at hand. Or even in the case of those same employees driving the vehicle through a busy Municipal park as they pass various citizens out for their walk. Something is missing. The smell of diesel or gasoline is also gone and what the average consumer does not know is that emissions from those small ICEV’s can be more harsh on the respiratory system than a car. The employees have been conditioned to this smell from years of using the traditional ICEV’s so they have possibly overlooked what the emissions are doing to them on a daily basis. This is real and very tangible.

In many cases the perception is that EUV’s are too weak to do the job when compared to traditional ICEV’s and in most cases this is correct. We know this from research. The reality is that electric power is immediate and has much less waste in its deliverance vs. an ICEV that wastes energy just as it creates its torque power – gets to its level of guts so to speak. With electric power the guts are immediate! Another common misconception out there is that an EUV cannot do much on a full charge and in some cases an EUV is not practical for a few applications. However if you stop and think exactly how many kilometres or miles a traditional ICEV gets used in a day you will be surprised to learn that an EUV could very well be useful in your application and that an ICEV may be on the cut list! Knowing your applications duty cycle will determine what an EUV can or can’t do for you!

Whether it is a personal vehicle or a work vehicle it is well worth your time to evaluate if an EUV is right for your application and we can help you do that. Just give us a call.

EUV’s. It’s all we do and we do it well!
